 The TFWS scheme was launched by the Ministry of Human Resources Development in 2007 to provide technical education to physically challenge and economically backward students. The tuition fee waiver scheme was launched by the Government of Maharashtra for students who are economically backward or whose parent’s annual income is less than RS 6, 00,000.

Under this scheme, meritorious students who have obtained good marks and want to pursue engineering as their career can apply for this, and they will be given a huge fee waiver by the Government. For this scheme, the expenditure of up to some percent is waived by the government; the remaining expenses will be borne by the beneficiary. • Only the Maharashtra state candidate can apply for this scheme.
• Those students whose parent’s annual income is less than Rs 6 lakh will be considered eligible for this scheme.
