The Apna Punjab Foundation and Federation of Private Schools & Association of Punjab have jointly launched the Mission Hariyali 2023 program on 12th July 2023. The Punjab Government has launched this program to protect the environment, in which only school students can participate. Mission Hariyali Day 2023 will be celebrated on 17th July 2023. Mission Hariyali Program will run for 1 week. This is a competition started to protect the environment, in this competition, children will have to plant a tree and upload a selfie with it. After uploading a selfie they have to take care of this plant for 3 months after 3 months they have to give an update to the official website.
More than 7 lakh trees will be planted under the program. Each participant will be given a certificate of participation from the government of Punjab and will be given 10 marks. Last year mission Hariyali was celebrated on 12 September 2022 in which school children created a world record by planting RS 5,68,000 saplings. Under this program, a human tree will be made by the students in each district of Punjab, out of which the largest human tree will be made by 2000 to 11,000 students, which will be made in Dhuri of Sangrur District of Punjab.
